The March–May 2026 data shows a Bay Area market that remained remarkably resilient throughout the spring season. Despite mortgage rates continuing to challenge affordability, buyer demand stayed strong, pushing prices higher in many communities.

  • Buyers stretched budgets for desirable homes.
  • Premiums were paid for properties offering strong school districts: Fremont, Pleasanton, Danville, San Ramon, Dublin, Castro Valley, Albany, Alameda...
  • Competition remained healthy, but less frantic than early spring.
